Culver City USD, Robert Frost Auditorium Expansion
In 1964, Robert Lee Frost Auditorium opened to use at Culver City High School. The Auditorium works to facilitate a myriad of uses throughout each year. It serves the purposes of everyday assemblies, as well as dance, music, film, and theatrical performances from both CCUSD and public entities. The venue also serves as a teaching tool for the young performers, technicians, and craftspeople attending Culver City Schools who are involved in the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts.

CSULB, College of Continuing & Professional Education
The $30 Million College of Continuing & Professional Education (CCPE) building project consisted of 35,000 square-foot building and featured 3 stories. The CCPE entails 20 modern general classrooms, a large conference center, and support spaces, as well as outdoor gathering areas for the CSULB community. The project was constructed at the highest level of sustainable green building standards, and is the first net-zero energy building in the CSU system. The building was also certified through the U.S. Green Building Council as a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum building.

UCSD, Biological and Physical Science Building
This project consisted of the new construction of the seven-story, 130,000 square foot Tata Hall for Biological and Physical Sciences building. The structure consisted of one level below grade and six levels above grade. Lower floors have biology teaching class labs, chemistry teaching labs, learning studios and classrooms, a nationally recognized nuclear magnetic resonance core facility, a 175-seat auditorium dedicated to research symposia, and post-doctorate and faculty offices.

Chapman University, Musco Center for the Arts
Spanning 88,000 square feet, Chapman’s Musco Center for the Arts serves as a state-of-the-art venue for theater and music arts. The Center’s façade spans the entire block at the northwest corner of campus, and provides a highly visible arts identity within the university.

SDSU, Don Powell Renovation & Second Stage Theater
San Diego State University is renovating its collection of campus performing arts centers. These projects have multiple components that are being completed simultaneously. The first component includes the renovation of the campus’s 450-seet Main Stage. When complete, the Main Stage will have improved sightlines, provide inclusive access, upgraded seating, and state-of-the-art acoustic finishes.

Corona-Norco USD, Auburndale Intermediate School, New Gymnasium & Performing Arts Building
Twining was enlisted to provide the District with the initial Geotechnical Investigation Report for a planned project that is anticipated to include an approximately 10,000-square-foot new gymnasium and performance arts building with associated improvements. The objectives of our study were to evaluate the subsurface conditions at the site and to provide geotechnical recommendations for the design and construction of the proposed project and its scope.

Placer High School Learning Commons
The project includes the construction of a new two-story academic building, which will house a kitchen, dining room and cafe, entry lobby, career center for student support services, classrooms and meeting rooms for student read/study and tutorial space, as well as a learning commons area.

WHUSD, Castaic High School
The project consisted of a new state of the art high school for the William S. Hart Union High School District in the Santa Clarita Valley. This $75 million project roughly covers 198 acres, 58 of which contain the campus, and included the construction of 16 buildings including administrative, gymnasium, performing arts, food service, library, storage, technology, and classrooms.

El Rodeo Seismic Retrofit and Modernization
The Beverly Hills Unified School District (BHUSD) consists of two TK-5 elementary schools, one 6-8 middle school, and one 9-12 high school. The TK-12 enrollment is approximately 3,450 students. This district currently employs over 300 staff and has been recognized nationally as a leader in education.

Parkside North Housing Expansion, Phase I
The $70 million project consists of the new construction of a 476-bed, 124,892 square foot, student residential facility comprised of four levels. Level 1 consists of a lobby, multi-purpose room, laundry room, apartments, study space, lounge space, and dorm rooms. Level 2 consists of a kitchen, study space, lounge space, and dorm rooms. Level 3 consists of a kitchen, study space, lounge space, and dorm rooms. Level 4 consists of a kitchen, resource room, roof terrace, study space, lounge space, and dorm rooms.

Big Springs Parking Structure 2
The project consists of the new construction of a four-level, semi-subterranean 1,079 stall, 348,726-square-foot parking structure. The structure incorporates a retaining wall and the entirety of the structure supported by a rammed aggregate pier Geopier foundation system, reinforced concrete footings, grade beams, and structural slab.

Del Sol High School
The project consists of the construction of a new, $200 million, 270,000-square-foot high school complex in Oxnard. Built to handle about 2,500 students, the project includes the construction of classrooms, sports fields, and a pool on nearly 50 acres of land at Camino Del Sol and Gibraltar Streets and is intended to help deal with overcrowding at other Oxnard Union High School District campuses.

Pio Pico Energy Center (PPEC)
The 600-megawatt Pio Pico Energy Center project site is in Otay Mesa, CA. This natural gas power plant provides energy during peak demand hours. This state-of-the-art power plant can go from offline to full capacity within 10 minutes or less.

Heritage Fields K-8 No. 3 New School Project
Heritage Field K-8 No.3 School is located within the Great Park planned community and will include the construction of the brand-new Kindergarten through Eighth Grade facility on an approximately 13-acre site consisting of seven separate buildings with site improvements. Buildings include administration, food service, gymnasium, multi-purpose, and classrooms. The estimated building footprint is approximately 102,230 square feet.
