Metro, Purple Line Extension Section 3 Tunnels Project

Section 3 of the Purple Line Extension Transit Project will add 2.56 miles of new rail to Metro’s Rail system and connect downtown Los Angeles to the Westside. The two new stations will be added at Wilshire/Westwood and on the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs property. The subway extension will provide a high-capacity, high-speed, dependable transit alternative for those traveling to and from Los Angeles’ Westside.

Twining is providing quality control services for the tunnel project. Our scope includes soil, concrete, shotcrete, and grout.
